Slinkachu..
Slinkachu is a photographer who uses small figures and small backgrounds to create an image or tell a story throughout the photo. Slinkachu was born in 1979, Devon, UK) has been “abandoning” his miniature people on the streets of cities around the world since 2006. Slinkachu isn't professionally a Photographer, he taught himself however he did take some classes in college and university. I like his work as he's dome the unthinkable.
I like this photo because the story behind it is amazing. It is about a Turkish Protest. There are some small figures holding a Turkish flag and the other ones are Police trying to stop them. I like the way the scene is set and how it all looks, its an all round good photo. The lighting in this photo really well and it isn't blurry. The photo is a medium depth of field. Some of the figures are blurred out but you can still see what is there and what is happening. The view on this photo is a worms eye view because the photo isn't taken from above. In this photo they have used the rules of thirds and put two of the figures on a hot spot. The image may have been cropped. I think this photo is really good, they layout is great and the story behind the photo is amazing.
This is a good photo because there is a lot of detail. It has a good story behind it, someone had an accident. The way the scene is set with the smashed glass, ambulance and people in the background. The message the photographer is trying to give is that their has been an accident and some people have been killed because of it. The lighting on this is set well as it isn't too bright or too dark. The depth of field in this photo is large because you can see everything that's going on. The angle would be a worms eye view because the photo is taken from above. This image may have been cropped. The layout is really well. The photographer have put the Ambulance and the person in the back ground on a hot spot. My personal opinion of this work is that it's really good and its been laid out really well.
Pierre Javelle
Pierre Javelle was a bit of a dunce at school. He spent his childhood reading comic books which instilled in him a knack for telling stories in few images. He found his place in art and finished school at the Decorative Arts School of Paris, where he also met Akiko. Working some years as a technician in a photo lab in Paris, he was inspired and learned from the professional photographers he met. I like his work as they're very creative and captured perfectly.
In this photo there are two people, a man and a woman, are ice skating on an empty pin tin. Beneath them there are lines were they have been skating and there is a lot of detail in this photo. The message in this photo is that there are two people ice skating, possibly in a competition. The lighting is good in this photo. It is a large depth pf foe;d because you can see everything that's going on but much isn't happening anyway. The angles isn't from above so it is from a worms eye view. The image may or may not be cropped. They haven't used the rule of thirds because the figures aren't on a hotspot. My personal opinion of this photo is that it a really good and planned out photo and the detail on the tin is good.
Best Photo..
In this photo there are little figures skating on/in an avocado. There isn't much of a meaning behind this, it's simply just people skating in an avocado. The lighting in this photo is really good, the photo isn't too dark or too bright. This is a shallow depth of field as you can still tell what is in the background and what you can see. The viewpoint of this photo is a worms eye view. The image may or may not be cropped. Pierre didn't put the figures on the hotspots so they didn't use the rule of thirds. My personal opinion of this photo is that it's really good and set out extremely well, this is one of my favorite photo's of his.
Akiko IDA
Born in Japan, Akiko IDA is a food and lifestyle photographer based in Paris. Her work appears in many magazines and cookbooks in Europe as well as in the US and in Japan. I also like his work as they're inspiring if you're wanting to do your own shoots.
Akiko has great detail on their images and a lot of thought goes into it. The lighting, ideas and focus point is amazing. On the boiled egg the detail is amazing as you can see the cracks the workers have made.
Best Photo..
This is the best photo of Akiko as they have boiled an egg and cracked it slightly so it looks like the builders are breaking the egg shell and getting on the inside to the actual egg.
Christopher Boffoli..

Best Photo..
This is the best photo from Christoper because the little people are in focus and you can clearly see what they're doing. The lighting in the photo is really good and the idea has been executed really well.
Plan..
My plan is to print off some backgrounds from Liverpool town and a road. There will be plain miniature plain people who will be the people pretending to be statues and then there will be normal people walking around. There will be a homeless person sat on the ground and it will be in black and white (the whole photo) except the homeless person.
Plan Two..
My second plan is to get two cars and have them in a car crash. There will be people in the car and a normal size phone by the side of it like it fell out of the car. The cause of their crash will be because of the phone.
Test Shoot..
For my test shoot, i took pictures of these.
My Best And Worse Photo's..
These are my best and worst because the photo on the left is completely overexposed and out of focus. The photo on the right is in focus and the exposure is perfect.
Shoot One..
Best And Worst..
This is the worst photo as it is out of focus and isn't colorful.
The photo on the top is the worst as it is out of focus and isn't colourful. The photo on the bottom is my best as it has good lighting and is in focus.
What I Wanted Out Of This Shoot..
I wanted to put a figure in a cage. The cage has a bird on the top that you can kind of see the shadow of. The story I was trying to get that a woman is in a cage and outside of the cage are beautiful, bright flowers. I wanted to make it seem like outside of the cage there are pretty things but inside of the cage it's just plain, cold metal.
Shoot Two..
Worst..
This is the worst photo because even though it is in focus it isn't close enough to the figures.
Best..
This is the best photo as it has good lighting, it's in focus and one of the figures are in focus as the other is blurry.
What I Wanted Out Of This Shoot..
From this shoot i wanted the images to be two workers cleaning up a broken lollipop which could be like a fallen star maybe.
Shoot Three..
Worst..
This photo is the worst because the exposure is too bright.
Best..
This is the best photo as the exposure is just right and it's in focus.
What I Wanted Out Of This Shoot..
What I wanted from this shoot was to have some of the small figures tanning on a beach with a beautiful background. The people were slightly spaced out. The lighting was easy to get after a while because when I took these photos it was a hot day.
Shoot Four..
Worst..
This is the worst photo because it's overexposed so you can't see much of what is going on.
Best..
This is the best photo because it has the correct exposure and it's in focus.
What I Wanted Out Of This Shoot..
What i wanted from this shoot was someone taking pictures of people involved in the pride march / walk. I used different sizes of people and someone with a walking stick to show everyone and anyone can be anything they want to be.
Shoot Five..
Worst..
This is the worst photos because it's underexposed.
Best..
This is the best as it has good lighting and good focus.
What I Wanted Out Of This Shoot..
I wanted to have a person with a dog which could be interfered as a visually impaired person. There are two people with walking sticks and they have problems with standing on their own. The "Stop Discrimination" is in the back as people laugh at others with issues or struggles.
Pride Plan Two..
For my second version of a pride shoot I want to print of the flag again and stick it to a stick. I will have loads of slinkachu people around the flag and have two of them holding onto the stick. So it'll look like they're marching with the stick.
My Best Photos..
Evaluation..
My slinkachu project was good in my eyes. To improve this project I would've done a lot more of the creative ideas and shoots. I also would've done some shoots at home if I could to add more to this project. I would also have done more shoots that tell a story and can be interfered.
